The coin is almost complete, except for a small sub-triangular section missing from 8 o'clock on the flan. The coin is bent so as to be slightly convex on the obverse and concave on the reverse. Obverse description: Crowned bust facing forwards. Obverse inscription: EDWAR R ANGL DNS HyB. Reverse description: Long cross with three pellets in each angle. Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON. Uncertain ruler, though potentially dating from Edward I to Edward III (AD 1272-1377) due to what appears to be the remnants of a long cross design with three pellets in an angle on the reverse of the coin. The coin is bent, and torn, with a significant amount curled over from 9 o’clock to 11 o’clock, with some of the coin missing in that region. A Medieval silver long cross penny of unknown ruler, possibly Edward I - III AD 1272-1377, dating to AD 1279-1351. The coin is very worn on both faces. A facing bust with bifoliate crown is visible on the obverse, although the legend is unclear. the reverse has a long cross with the reverse legend slightly clearer. CIVI is visible however the rest of thhe legend to determine the mint is not. The edges are damaged and have been clipped.
