A silver penny of King Stephen (AD 1135 - 1154). Cross moline with fleurs in angles reverse. Watford type (c. AD 1136 - 1145) Obverse: traces of a right facing bust with sceptre in front. Week striking and ware has resulted in the loss of all of the inscription. Reverse: Cross moline with a fleur in each angle. [...]R:ON:L[...] Note: this coin was originally folded in half with the obverse exposed resulting in this surface becoming considerable worn. It has been subsequently unfurled by the finder.
