A fragment of a silver finger ring of Post Medieval date (c. AD 1800-2000) comprising a small section of the decorated shank. The outer face of the shank is decorated with 5 small hemi-circular pellets evenly spaced apart. The width of the shank narrows between the pellets and broadens slightly at the position of each pellet. The middle pellet and the adjoining section of the shank is impacted by a small curved depression likely to either a casting fault or possibly an illegible maker's or assay mark. A copper alloy fragment of a possible finger ring of uncertain exact date (c. AD 43-1700). The object is rectangular in plan and in cross-section with a curving profile. The object does not appear to be decorated and the surface of the object is very worn. The ring has a dark green patina. The overall dimensions are as follows: 30mm in length, 12mm in width, 2.5mm in thickness and 6.54g in weight.

A complete wrought copper alloy ring, probably the finger ring of a child, of unknown dating. The ring is circular in plan, and circular in cross section. It consists of a drawn copper alloy wire wrapped and fixed together to form a solid unbroken ring. A small swelling is present where the two ends of the wire overlap and have been welded together. Small transverse scratch marks are present, where the ring has been filed and polished, but other than these, no signs of decoration are apparent. Silver finger-ring, deformed to an oval and, presumably as a consequence of being squashed, cracked in one place. The band is decorated with two rows of punched, concentric double-crescents, some of them with a dot in the centre. The crescents are unevenly executed and worn away along the edge of the ring. It has proven impossible to find close parallels for either the ring or its decoration. While the width of the band is in keeping with Late Saxon finger rings, these are more solidly made (cf., e.g., Hinton, fig. 40) and of different decoration. It is unlike Viking rings found in …
