A complete flake from a prepared core of Late Neolithic to Early Iron Age dating (3300 BC to 1000 BC). The flake is sub rectangular in shape and a mid brown colour. Part of a striking platform is present at the top of the flake. Retouch is present along both edges and can be classified as short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt. It measures 40.6 mm in length, 24.9 mm maximum width, and 6.0 mm maximum thickness. It weighs 7.2 g. A knapped secondary flake knapped from an flint which is now a mottled grey colour. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion, bulbar scars and concentric ripples. The dorsal surface has small feint scars near the edges which are not re-touch, but small transverse flakes. The lateral and distal edges have large flake scars which have been bisected at each end. This is probably a core rejuvenation flake. The flake weighs 4.9g and measures 26.61mm long, 22.48mm wide and 10.62mm thick. Some re-touch occurs along a lateral edge and proximal end on the ventral face. Along one lateral edge is a small, deep notch. It measures 33.51mm long, 27.77mm wide, 4.95mm thick and weighs 5.5 grams. The flint is dark grey/brown colour. The flake dates to the Neolithic period (-3500 - -2100).
