An incomplete copper alloy Colchester type brooch dating to the late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. AD 25-60). The object consists of the partial head and bow. All other features are now missing. The head has two worn wings and the remains of the integral coiled spring on the reverse. The top of the head has a constriction to hold the lop loop of the spring in place, with part of the spring retained. Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate that has a single loop on the reverse that would have held the spring which is now missing. The bow emanates from the front of the head and has a central ridge running down its length to the apex of the bow where there is a small moulded seated bird. The bird is a simple projecting inverted arch with the bottom terminal extended with a short semi-circular bar forming the head. Below the knee the remainder of the bow is truncated.

A fragment of a Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch, probably of Trumpet derivative type. Only the lower part of the brooch survives together with its catchplate. The bow is divided into three vertical cells; the outer two are infilled with blue enamel but the colour of the missing enamel in the central cell is unclear. At the foot of the brooch is a broken attachment loop.

A worn fragment of an object in the form of a horse. The horse is running to the left. Its mane is in the form of a crest with transverse lines. The rear half od the horse is missing. The back is plain and there is no evidence for attachment. The object does not appear to be of Roman date (Sally Worrell, pers.comm.) but the patina and worn condition suggest it may be ancient.

A Medieval brooch, circular, and decorated on the front with grooves alternately occupied by spheres and words from an inscription. The inscription reads: + avez tout mon coer a vre plaisir (have all my heart at your pleasure) The reverse of the brooch is decorated with four-petalled flowers and sprigs of foliage. The brooch would originally have been enamelled. Dimensions: diameter 32 mm The brooch is gold, and dates from the fifteenth century.
