A white metal finger ring of uncertain date. The penannualr hoop of a white metal material terminates with rounded ends. The bezel consists of a circular disc, possibly of resin, which tapers up at the sides. Set into the resin like material is a white metal coin of Hiberno-Manx style.  The obverse of the coin depicts a draped bust facing left with four pellets, or a pelleted cross behind the neck and one pelelt in the right field. Treasure Case 2020T525 Description: A complete gold finger-ring with a turquoise cabochon that dates to the late medieval period (c.AD 1400-1500). The hoop is roughly D-shaped and slightly compressed to form an oval shape. The hoop is thinnest at the base and gradually thickens and widens towards the shoulders. Gold 14th century AD finger-ring with an inset cobalt-blue glass oval setting. The bezel has 7 convex settings to hold the stone and a decorated flower inscribed into an integral square plate on either side of the hoop. There is no makers mark and the construction would suggest the 14th or 15th century at the latest. Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence analysis of the metal by the British Museum's Scientific Research section indicated a surface composition of approximately 94-95% gold, 3-4% silver, the rest being copper. A cast copper alloy finger ring dating from the Medieval the Post-Medieval period. The object is circular in plan with an even hoop measuring 2.5mm in thickness. The bezel is flat, measuring 10mm in width, with each edge undulating with a notch in the centre. The object has a smooth dark green patina and is in good condition.

A cast copper alloy finger ring dating to the Medieval period, (AD 1100-1500). The object has a circular hoop which widens and thickens slightly at the shoulders. The bezel is flat and shield-shaped in form with two semi-circular notches, or cusps, at one side. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition. Description: tiny silver ring, the bezel divided into three with vertical lines, each division decorated with a lozenge and dot. The ring is slightly conical in shape, being wider on one side than the other suggesting that it may be some kind of fitting. If it is a ring it is for a child. Discussion: This ring gas been examined by British Museum curators (Early Medieval, Medieval and Post-Medieval specialists) who have been unable to confirm a date or function for this ring. A Medieval finger-ring, set with a hexagonal sapphire in a bezel with a pinched border. The shoulders of the ring are divided into three bands. The raised central band is plain, with a rouletted border, which has worn smooth in places. The two side bands are engraved with flowers and leaves, and would originally have been enamelled. The back of the hoop is decorated with diagonal bands of alternate plain and punched decoration to give the effect of cabling. Small, crudely cast copper alloy (?) finger ring. Quite chunky in appearence. Oval bezel, raised markings visible to one side of the bezel, the rest of the ring being too damaged to ascertain whether these extend around the whole of the ring. There are also similar raised markings (letters?) visible on the inside surface.
