A near complete copper-alloy buckle plate of medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1400. The plate is formed from a single sheet, folded at the integral plate recess for the buckle frame and riveted at the other end. The front and back plates are rectangular with the front plate being larger. Two rivets hold the plates together at the opposite end to the recess. A silver Medieval coin; a bent long cross penny probably of Edward I (1272 - 1307), possibly class 6b (1292 - 1296) but difficult to see, so the identification is not secure. Mint of Canterbury. There is an error or double-strike in the obverse legend: EDW R ANGL DNA [...] and the reverse legend CIVITAS TORTOR. See North number 1031 on page 30 of Volume II. The coin, is 17.3mm in diameter, 9.8mm thick in it's bent form and weighs 1.31g.  The metal of the coin is 0.6mm thick.

A silver object, possibly a mount, of uncertain date, probably Post Medieval to Modern, AD 1650 - 1900. It is an invert drop shape, rounded at the top and tapering to a point at the base. It is convex and hollow on the reverse. The front is moulded with a grinning mask, perhaps a devil, a lion, or the Green man. A hollow medieval copper-alloy casket key formed of folded sheet, dating from AD 1100 - 1500. The sheet is folded along the length of the key to form a hollow stem. The sheet was cut and flattened at one end to form the bow, which is lozenge shaped and has a circular perforation through it. In plan the stem flares out from the flat bow, then gradually tapers towards the bit. The bit is simple with a single cleft in the leading edge. The bit is formed from just one thickness of sheet.
