An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman bow and fantail brooch, date ing from about AD 75 - 175. It fits into Mackreth (2011) Trumpet derivative, Hinged Type 4.1bx (page 127, plate 86). The brooch is now folded over so that the foot touches the head.  It has a large triangular fantail foot mostly filled with opaque brick red enamel.  In the centre of the panel is a central raised copper alloy design of an upward facing dome with two internal feet. Copper alloy cast strap end of medieval date (c.AD 1200-1400). Cast broad tongue-shaped strap end that is flat and undecorated on both faces. The tip projects slightly and is rectangular in plan. There is an attachment hole at the butt or inner end and a rivet on each side of this. The spindle whorl is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section, perforation running through it. The upper the upper surface is slightly domed, whereas the lower is flat. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle of medieval date (c.AD 1250-1400). The single loop spur buckle has an integral plate and oval, notched frame with three iron rivets. Both faces lack decoration, while the obverse is convex, and reverse is flat. The pin is missing, and the object has a green and brown patina. Dimensions: Length 43.9m, Width 17.6mm, Thickness 3.9mm, Weight 5.59g. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead’s buckles (2003, p. 33).

The weight is roughly conical in shape with a rounded base and flattened apex from which the suspension loop projects (rectangular in cross-section and an inverted V in shape). The die presents a central motif of an incised traverse line with a rounded 'w', possibly an omega 'ω'. Surrounding the central motif is a worn inscription that reads: + SI WALT [...] IKA [...]. An incomplete copper alloy buckle frame dating to the late medieval to post medieval period (c.AD 1350-1650). The buckle is a 'spectacle' buckle that has a frame of two oval loops which form an overall figure of 8. It is D-shaped in section and has a moulded decorative frame. Only one loop survives, the other loop and pin are missing. Dimensions: Length 11.7mm; width 13.8mm; thickness 0.7mm; weight 0.38g Similar buckles are illustrated in Whitehead (2003: 52-4) and are noted as dating from the 14th-17th centuries.

A very worn and incomplete cast copper alloy palstave axehead with possible side loop of middle to late Bronze Age date from the period c.1050-950 BC. The blade of the palstave is sub-oval or tongue shaped in plan. The cutting edge measures 26.39mm in width and is 5.2mm thick. The cutting edge is blunt and damaged. In profile the blade is sub-rectangular and narrow slightly before the stop ridge. Below the stop ridge where ribs might be expected is no visible decoration.
