An incomplete clipped silver Irish sixpence of James I (AD 1603 - 1625). The coin is very worn with only part of the legends remaining and very little detail on the obverse and reverse still visible. It has been bent in the soil causing part of the coin to tear.

A Post-Medieval silver halfgroat of James I, (AD 1603-1625) dating to AD 1605-6. Second coinage. Initial mark: Rose. Mint: London. North 1991, Vol.2 pg. 146 no.2104. The coin has a diameter of 17.46mm, a thickness of 0.63mm, and weighs 0.84g.

Silver, Post Medieval Half Groat of James I (AD 1603 - AD 1625). Minted as part of the Third Issue Coinage in 1624. TVEATVR VNITA DEVS reverse type depicting a thistle with a crown above. North type 2127 (page 148). Coin has square puncture from reverse to obverse, puncture is at 12 o'clock on reverse and 9 o'clock on obverse. It is also clear that when striking this coin the moneyer missed the flan. Diameter: 16.9 mm Thickness: 0.7 mm Weight: 0.8 g
