An incomplete cast copper alloy mount or fitting, dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD  1600 - 1700). The mount consists of a slightly convex base plate of three asymmetrical circles, with a D-shaped cross section. Two transverse ridges are present either side of the main circle. A complete copper alloy button and loop fastener, of Early Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 200). The fastener consists of a flat discoidal head, with a rectangular sectioned shank fixing to the centre of the reverse. The shank extends out into a triangular loop. The front of the disc has been decorated with a long cross. It measures 33.3 mm in length, 17.2 mm wide and 13.2 mm thick. The discoidal head has a diameter of 18.0 mm. It weighs 9.1 g. A copper alloy spur hook attachment dating from the medieval to post medieval period (c.1250-1600AD). The hook would have been used to attach the terminal of a spur arm to the leather (the term for a spur strap whatever material it is made from) and is known as a hook attachment. The object comprises a rectangular plate with a hook projecting from each end. One of the hooks immediately bends towards the reverse of the plate. The circular token/disc has a relief initials IR on one side within what appears to be a milled border, only part of which survives, approx. 15mm in diameter.  On the other side is part of a similar milled border, but this has been poorly stamped and may originally have also had initials at the centre.
