An incomplete Medieval silver penny of Edward I (r. AD 1272 to AD 1307). Long cross reverse. Most likely class 10cf, dating to AD 1305-1310. Minted in London. The coin is missing some of its outer flan, resulting in some of the legend missing.  North Vol 2, p.32, no 1040-1043/2.

A small copper-alloy strap end of Late Medieval date. The object is small and broadly tear-drop shaped in plan with an oval cross-section. It consists of a rounded knop and then a small sub-circular knop on one side which has a rectangular indentation at the apex, used for slotting onto something.  The object has a dark green / brown even surface patina.  It measures 11.8mm in length and 7.7mm in width. The slot is 3.9mm in length, 1.1mm in width and 1.9mm deep. It has a thickness of 6.9mm and weighs 1.8 grams.

A lead pendant of Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1000 - AD 1600).  The pendant is cruciform in shape, with arms that are rectangular in form and cross section. The upper arm is the longest and has a sub-circular perforation on the reverse, that runs through both sides of the arm. The arms at the sides are shorter. The pendant has a cream/ light brown patina. No decoration is present. The object measures 31.8mm in length and 29mm in width. It has an overall thickness of 8.1mm and weighs 21 grams. A complete lead bi-convex decorated spindle whorl of Medieval to early post-Medieval date (AD 1100-1500). The spindle whorl is circular in shape, and lentoid in cross section. The central hole is sub-circular and the internal diameter measures 10.1mm. The upper and lower faces are decorated with irregular ribs in light relief, creating various sized segements. Within some of the segements are small moulded pellets.   The whorl is a cream colour, with a mottled surface patina.  Measurements: diameter 27.9mm, thickness 15.6mm, weight 39.2 g

Incomplete and corroded silver penny of Edward I or II.  Carl Savage (pers comm) notes that the incurved lettering on the reverse looks like it could be a Class 10, but possibly no later than a Class 10cf  (c.1300-1310AD). Obverse has the crowned bust of the king facing. Only part of the legend is legible ED[…].  Reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each quarter, dividing the legend which is illegible. A copper alloy spur hook attachment dating from the medieval to post medieval period (c.1250-1600AD). The hook would have been used to attach the terminal of a spur arm to the leather (the term for a spur strap whatever material it is made from) and is known as a hook attachment. The object comprises a rectangular plate with a hook projecting from each end. One of the hooks immediately bends towards the reverse of the plate.
