Box with lid in good condition, with the sides at the end wrapped around the beginning of the folded end. The corners of the lid have corroded. Medieval horse harness pendant, probably of 13th or 14th century date. The pendant is missing the attachment loop at the top, and much of the surface has corroded. The pendant is of quatrefoil form with little of the central motif surviving, but it appears to depict an:- Argent four legged beast passant Gules A vertical line bisects the beast beginning at the base of the pendant and extending as far as the top lobe, where it appears embellished. Traces of red enamel survive around the beast and silvering survives on an area at the rear of the beast and the border.
