Copper alloy looped fitting, probably from a vessel of uncertain date. The loop is cast and is complete (with an overall length of 31.2mm and a weight of 25.2g). The loop is oval (with a height of 26.4mm and a width of 30.6mm; 13.9mm x 17.4mm internal) and is comparatively substantial with a sub-oval section (7.9mm wide and 6.7mm thick). Late Medieval pottery handled jar neck The sherd comprises one handle and approximately half of the rim (with an overall width of 190mm, a rim diameter of 163mm and a weight of 281.4g). A fragment of North Devon Gravel-tempered ware. The fragment includes part of the base of a bread platter. The fabric is oxidised on the exterior of the vessel and reduced to its interior. The coarse components include rounded/sub-rounded quartz inclusions (1mm-4mm), sandstone inclusions (up to 4.5mm) and inclusion of tiny (max 1mm) ceramic pellets. The interior of the vessel is glazed, green in colour with the exterior being unglazed.

A cast copper alloy leg or foot from a copper alloy vessel probably a cauldron or skillet of later medieval date (1300 - 1600). The foot is a tapering rectangular shape in plan and D shaped in cross section. The upper edge of the foot is broken but although the break is unabraded it is patinated suggesting the damage occured prior to deposition. Below the break is a transverse bar / thickneing beneath which the foot tapers. The angle of the leg, when the foot is placed on a horizontal surface, is approximately 75°. Crudely cast, slightly waisted, copper alloy vessel leg. Length 41mm, width 28-33mm, thickness 18mm, weight 77.4 grams. Identifying the vessel type that this leg is from is not possible. Presumably it was either a cauldron, skillet, jug or ewer. Close dating is equally difficult as the form of the legs like this did not change from the medieval period until the seventeenth century (Read 1995, 95).

Complete cast copper alloy vessel leg. Part of the apparently integrally cast body of the vessel remains attached to the leg. Length 78mm, width 16-17 mm, weight 115.2 grams. Medieval to post-medieval. The surface of the leg is preferentially blackened in comparison to the inside of the vessel body; this "sooting" is a common phenomena and is due to oxidisation of the outer surface of the vessel through exposure to the cooking fire.

Fragment of a large iron vessel (cauldron?) consisting of a separately forged leg, plano-convex in section and with a decorative outer longitudinal ridge, and part of the vessel's base. Dimensions of surviving portion of the vessel's base 96mm x 72mm, vessel thickness 6mm, length of leg 45mm, weight 276.4 grams. Although cast iron vessels of this form were used until the early twentieth century the longitudinal ridge on the leg is similar to those decorating late medieval and post-medieval copper alloy vessel legs suggesting it may be of earlier date.
