A near complete cast copper alloy and enamel Medieval harness pendant dating from 1200 to 1400 AD.
The harness pendant is shield-shaped with an integrally cast loop; the front is decorated in relief blue enamel depicting a unicorn rampant. The suspension loop is 8.5mm long with a loop hole (2.6mm in diameter) which is set 90 degrees from the shield. The suspension loop is positioned at the top center of the shield. The harness pendant is near-complete but heavily-corroded and missing the hinged suspension mount (with a length of 43.4mm and a weight of 9.6g). The suspension loop is complete (with a length of 9.0mm, a depth of 5.0mm, a thickness of 1.0mm – 4.8mm and a diameter of 2.9mm). Medieval copper alloy harness pendant of late 13th to 15th century date
The shield-shaped harness pendant is near-complete, missing the suspension mount but is heavily-corroded and distorted (with a distorted length of 37.3mm, a straightened length of approximately 47mm and a weight of 5.8g). The harness pendant is of two-part form, comprising a frame and swivelling pendant and is near-complete, missing the suspension mount and one terminal (with a length of 47.7mm and a weight of 11.7g). The suspension mount was hinged through a lug (3.1mm thick 6.0mm wide), which has broken through the central perforation (2.8mm diameter). Medieval horse harness pendant, probably of 13th or 14th century date. The pendant is missing the attachment loop at the top, and much of the surface has corroded. The pendant is of quatrefoil form with little of the central motif surviving, but it appears to depict an:-
Argent four legged beast passant Gules
A vertical line bisects the beast beginning at the base of the pendant and extending as far as the top lobe, where it appears embellished. Traces of red enamel survive around the beast and silvering survives on an area at the rear of the beast and the border.

Two piece copper alloy harness pendant with an interior swivelling sexfoil pendant, probably of Late Medieval date. The surface of the pendant has been lost and no traces of gilding survive. The obverse of the pendant is concave with a central perforation. The sexfoil frame has evidence of slightly protruding ribs between each arm. The central pendant is attached to the frame by an iron rivet. The suspension mount is missing.
