An incomplete Roman copper-alloy umbonate brooch, dating from c. 100 to 250 AD. The brooch is elliptical or oval in plan, and measures 26.70mm long, 19.14mm wide and is 1.65 mm in thickness (excluding the hinge). The front of the brooch is domed and is decorated with inlayed concentric rings of red enamel triangles, which increase in size from the centre to the outer edge of the brooch.
