Cast biconical decorated lead spindle whorl. Spindle whorls are difficult to date, but the location of this find in the vicinity of a Medieval site and other Medieval finds may suggest a Medieval or early Post Medieval date. The whorl is decorated with a number of raised dots near the rim of each face (11 and 13). The surface is eroded, but there is a suggestion of low radiating lines along the face through the dots. Gilded buckle comprising of a trapezoidal frame with folded sheet plate of Medieval date, possibly 14th century. The outside edge of the frame is ‘V’ shaped and extends slightly beyond the frame sides and is also more substantial than the rest of the frame. There is a low notch for the now missing pin, which was of iron. The folded sheet plate is rectangular with a rounded inside edge of the plate. The plate has a slot for the pin and is recessed for the frame. The single attachment rivet is still present near the inside edge of the plate. Gilding survives on both the frame and plate.

Medieval horse harness pendant, probably of 13th or 14th century date. The pendant is missing the attachment loop at the top, and much of the surface has corroded. The pendant is of quatrefoil form with little of the central motif surviving, but it appears to depict an:- Argent four legged beast passant Gules A vertical line bisects the beast beginning at the base of the pendant and extending as far as the top lobe, where it appears embellished. Traces of red enamel survive around the beast and silvering survives on an area at the rear of the beast and the border.

Medieval copper alloy three piece strap-end with forked spacer, this form of strap-end is known to have been produced from the late 13th to the early 15th century (Egan 1991), but most occur in 14th century contexts. The strap-end is composed of two tongue shaped copper alloy sheet plates with a rounded outside edge, divided by a cast forked spacer with a terminal knop. The terminal has a collar and resembles an acorn. The strap-end was secured by two rivets positioned near the attachment edge. No decoration is evident on the surface of the plates.

Late medieval copper alloy buckle of mid-14th to mid-15th century date The buckle is incomplete, missing the sheet plates and one of the side forks (with a length of 8.1g). The frame is oval with a central, pointed lip (5.0mm wide) and a probable notch for the pin, now worn. Otherwise the frame is of consistent with and thickness and of triangular section (2.5mm wide and 2.4mm thick).
