An uncertain object of uncertain date - most probably made in the medieval or post medieval period (1200-1800). In form the artefact is similar to a thimble being a domed sheet of lead which has subsequently been crushed in the soil. The artefact is crudely decorated with a series of opposing triangular cut out shapes positioned irregular around the lower edge. The lower edge / base is decorated with incised / filed irregular sized dog-tooth pattern. At the top of the dome is the remains of an iron rivet. A copper alloy circular guinea coin weight dating from the Post Medieval period, being used after 1773 until about 1800. The obverse is heavily eroded and the surface design is lost - originally it would have contained the weight of a full guinea being 5 penny weights and 6 grains or 5 penny weights and 8 grains. The reverse is inscribed GUINEAS / COINED / BEFORE / 1772 over four lines arranged vertically. The weight has a diameter of 20.4mm, and is 4.2mm thick. It has a mass of 6.40 grams. A complete cast copper alloy 'S'-shaped belt hook or strap fitting of Post-Medieval date (AD 1650 - AD 1900). The two terminals are in the form of a snakes head and tail. The head is turned back to form a loop whilst the tail is open forming the hook. The central part of the fitting has punched decoration comprising C shaped stamps which overlap applied by hand rather than machine. This is applied to both faces and represent scales. A cast copper alloy fragment from the lower leg or foot of a copper alloy vessel probably a cauldron or skillet of later medieval date (1300 - 1600). The foot is a tapering rectangular shape in plan and rectangular D shaped in cross section. Both the top of the foot and the base are lost through old breaks . A large prominanet D shaped rib runs along the external face of the foot. It is a mid-brown green colour with an even patina. A cast copper alloy leg or foot from a copper alloy vessel probably a cauldron or skillet of later medieval date (1300 - 1600). The foot is a tapering rectangular shape in plan and D shaped in cross section. The upper edge of the foot is broken but although the break is unabraded it is patinated suggesting the damage occured prior to deposition. Below the break is a transverse bar / thickneing beneath which the foot tapers. The angle of the leg, when the foot is placed on a horizontal surface, is approximately 75°. A cast copper alloy post medieval belt hook / strap fitting AD 1450 - 1650. The plate is heavily corroded and eroded and much detail has been lost. The strap fitting is broadly triangular in form - from the lower edge projects a blunt ended hook which has been cast in one piece and rolled to shape its current form.
