A cast copper alloy post medieval belt hook / strap fitting AD 1450 - 1650. The plate is heavily corroded and eroded and much detail has been lost. The strap fitting is broadly triangular in form - from the lower edge projects a blunt ended hook which has been cast in one piece and rolled to shape its current form. Post medieval copper alloy buckle of mid-16th to mid-17th century date The cast buckle frame is of rectangular form (33.7mm long, 46.1mm wide and weighing 18.7g) and is complete except for the pin. The integral outside edge resembles a roller and is decorated with diagonal notches either side of a central notch for the pin. The underside of the outside edge is bevelled. The sides have two rounded lobes, with a larger lobe near the bar (9mm deep and 5.4mm thick). The bar is offset and narrowed. The surface is unpatinated, tarnished 'bronze'.

Cast copper alloy chape consisting of a U-shaped socket which is connected to an incomplete perforated terminal through a waisted constriction. The front of the chape is perforated by two small rivets which would have attached it to the scabbard. Part of the back and the lower terminal of the chape are missing. Much of the original surface is lost; however, there are traces of linear ornament on the terminal of the chape. Height 39.5mm, width 22mm, thickness 6mm, weight 9.8 grams.
