Post medieval copper alloy trade weight of mid-17th to early 18th century date
The weight is stamped with a crowned W, probably for William III, a sword and ewer for London. The weight now weighs 12.0g, equivalent to 0.4232 ounces and would originally have been a half-ounce weight. There is comparatively large void within the weight from a casting flaw. The surface has a mid to dark green patina.

The dirk is incomplete with some peripheral damage to the butt and upper part of the blade (with a length of 135.2mm and a weight of 32.6 g). The top edge of the butt is damaged and irregular, with a number of arcs, possibly related to rivet holes but none of which may now be identified with any certainty. The purse is represented by the loop and incomplete bar (with a weight of 15.1g) and is of Ward Perkins (1940, p 168) Type B1. The loop is sub-oval and slightly distorted (with an overall length of 50.3mm and a width near the top of 17.8mm) and converges to its base. There is no surviving decoration at the base of the loop. There are three cufflinks represented by three separate studs, all missing the connecting links
A single cast stud is circular and flat (with a diameter of 15.7mm, a thickness of 1.6mm and a weight of 1.4g). The face has a raise border within which is a crown above two hearts. The rear of the stud has an integral, central pierced lug (giving a depth of 4.5mm) and a casting seam is evident flanking the loop. The disc faces are heavily-corroded and pale-grey.
