An incomplete cast copper-alloy linch pin terminal of later Iron Age or early Roman date, -150 BC - AD 150. The linch pin terminal is a tapered cylindrical shape being circular in cross section - in broad terms it can be described as 'vase' shaped. The base of the terminal is a disc that supports the body of the terminal on its upper face while its lower face reveals the corroded remains of the copper alloy projection being broken flush to the base.
