A complete pierced Post Medieval copper alloy Taunton farthing trade token, dated 1667. Obverse description: A capital letter T under a tun/cask, two roses flanking the base of the T. Obverse inscription: A • TAVNTON • FARTHING Reverse description: Taunton castle. Reverse inscription: BY • THE • CONSTABLES • 1667 • A hole measuring 2.5mm in diameter is punched through from the reverse (castle side) to the obverse. The token is a shiny brassy colour (caused by the coastal mud) and has a worn and pitted surface.

A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy weight, dating from c. 1500 AD to 1800 AD. The coin weight is disk shaped with two flat faces. One face has been stamped X X at the centre. Above this is a stamped letter D. Below the initials is another unclear oval shaped stamp. On the other face X X is again stamped, due to corrosion it is not clear if the other stamps are also repeated. The weight is dark grey-brown in colour with small areas of green corrosion. Some of the original surface is lost to corrosion.

The object consists of a flat plate with a tri-lobed top and a foliate incised design to the surface. At the bottom of the plate is a hook with a rounded terminal. A complete cast copper alloy 'S'-shaped belt hook or strap fitting of Post-Medieval date (AD 1650 - AD 1900). The two terminals are in the form of a snakes head and tail. The head is turned back to form a loop whilst the tail is open forming the hook. The foot is a tapering rectangular shape in plan and D shaped in cross section. The upper edge of the foot is broken but although the break is unabraded it is patinated suggesting the damage occured prior to deposition. Incomplete decorated shoe buckle made from pinchbeck. The buckle is sub rectangular in shape, and is curved in order to fit a shoe. The central pin of the buckle is missing. The reverse of the buckle is smooth with no decoration. The buckle is highly decorated with lozenge shapes, curves and groups of 4 pellets. Overall the buckle is in good condition. Date is thought to be 18th or 19th century. The buckle weighs 14.3g and is 50mm in length by 39mm in width.

A cast copper alloy post medieval belt hook / strap fitting AD 1450 - 1650. The plate is heavily corroded and eroded and much detail has been lost. The strap fitting is broadly triangular in form - from the lower edge projects a blunt ended hook which has been cast in one piece and rolled to shape its current form.
