A copper alloy object of uncertain date, use, and completeness. The object consists of a spike, square in cross section and tapering to a point, it is 65.5mm long.  The top of the object measures 8.51mm by 8.54mm, it is broadly flat but somewhat uneven, possibly suggestive of a break.   The object is a mid-brown colour with areas of uneven green corrosion.

Copper alloy object, possibly a surgical implement of Roman date The object is fragmentary, broken or cut on one end and is slightly distorted (with a distorted length of 118.6mm and a weight of 2.4g). Approximately half of the abject is circular-sectioned (1.6mm diameter) and the other half is flattened with a subtle midrib on one face and flat on the opposite face (with a width of 2.7mm and a thickness of 1.2mm). The midrib ends before the break, where the object is slightly thicker (at 1.9mm) possibly because of cutting with a pliers or similar tool. The surface has been strip…

The object is hollow and contains remnants of a shaft, probably of wood. The mouth is now distorted and closed (with a length of 14.2mm and a compressed thickness of 4.2mm).
