Robertson 2000, 273 no. 1140: ""This hoard has only recently been reported to the writer by the Washington Antiquarian Society." The hoard was found in the latter part of 1939 by a labourer excavating an air raid shelter, and is reported to have been found in a small earthenware pot since lost. The number of coins I have before me is 59 and it is impossible to say whether there were others.. A copper alloy figurine probably dating to the Roman period although the subject is unknown. The object is in the shape of the body of a person, but there are no features to suggest a sex. The only decoration on the object is roughly carved facial features. The figure is shown crossing the left leg behind the right. The object is badly worn and is missing both arms and the metal is green. It weighs 42.0g and measures 65.85mm in length, 24.16mm in width and is 12.7mm thick.

A possible lead steelyard weight, perhaps Roman in date. The object is biconical with a rib running around its circumference where the two cones meet. The apex of one of the cones is pierced by a circular section rod of iron which is heavily corroded. The object has been slightly miscast and is therefore not totally regular. The diameter of the object is 39.52mm and 42.52mm in length.
