An iron nail of Roman to Post-Medieval date. The object has a flat circular head. On the back face is an integrally cast stem. This is rectangular in section and tapers to a point. The nail measures 23.42mm in length, 14.82mm in width, 13.12mm thick, and 4.1g. The object is covered with iron corrosion and is reddish brown in colour.

A piece of copper-alloy morphologically similar to the shape of a flat axehead, possibly casting waste from a manufacturing process. The object is roughly pear shaped in silhouette, with a rough texture that appears to be partly from corrosion and partly from the natural grain of the metal.

A complete lead polyhedral object of uncertain date, probably medieval to the post medieval period (c.AD 1200-1800). The object is broadly spherical with a clear hemispherical rib around the centre. Each hemisphere is equally faceted and present 7 faces each. One face has a small circular shallow hole running through it. Overall the object has a light cream patina. Dimensions: Diameter 8.7mm; weight 3g The function of the object is uncertain; with a round mass of 3g it may be a weight.

A complete lead / lead alloy phallus of uncertain date. The object is in the form of a head of a phallus and is naturalistically rendered. It is broadly oval in form with a flat base from which protrudes an iron shaft. A deep groove separates the phallus shaft from a defined head that presents an incised traverse line through the tip. A probable Roman copper alloy penanular finger ring in the form of a snake and dating from about AD 100-400. The hoop is sub-circular in plan and is probably smaller than originally intended having been coiled. The terminal expands to form the head of the snake, but does not appear to be complete. The other terminal is of similar form and possibly represent another head however could also be the tail. The object has been squashed inwards and is incomplete. It has a dark green patina. Examples of similar finger rings which can be found on the database are KENT-95BA94 and SWYOR-13E3D6.

Cast lead alloy figurine dating to the Roman period. The figure is cast in one piece and is relatively crude in both shape and design. It is broadly sub-rectangular in shape and D-shaped in cross-section with the reverse being almost flat. The figure is worn and has an exaggerated phallus. The arms of the figure are clasped together in front of the chest. The face is worn with no visible features and the eyes appear to be covered by a wide band. Cast copper alloy cosmetic implement probably dating to the Roman period, (43-410AD). The object consists of a sheet of copper alloy which flares out at either end. The object is incomplete. The object has been bent almost in half and has some modern damage also. On the rear of the object is a shallow central groove running the length of the object. It has a mid-green patina and shows signs of corrosion.

Cast lead alloy spindle whorl dating from the Roman to the Post-Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and biconical. It has a large central circular perforation. The object is undecorated and has a dark brownish grey patina. Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1066-1500.

A large lead alloy harness boss dating to the Post-Medieval period, (1500-1700). The object is circular in plan, thick and flat. The object has foliate relief decoration surrounding a central roundel.Most of the outer edge of the object is missing. The remains of one iron rivet can be seen on the reverse of the object. The object has a dark grey patina. It is likely to dates from the eighteenth century. Similar examples which can be found on the database are SF6788 and SWYOR-937753. Similar examples can be seen in Bailey's "Detector Finds" (1999).

A complete cast copper alloy crotal bell, post medieval in date (AD1500-1850). The bell is sub-spherical in shape and consists of two cast halves welded together forming a raised median band. The upper hemisphere has two perforation holes on either side of an intact rounded suspension loop with a neatly drilled perforation hole. The lower hemisphere consists of two perforation holes joined by a linear seam which is slightly bent. The bell is plain and undecorated. The pea is still intact inside the bell. The object has a dark to mid green patina.
