Medieval (late 12th to 14th centuries) candle holder fragment: The copper alloy stand is in the form of a cockerel, The cockerel has a long slender neck and a simplistic head. The neck expands in width and depth and is undecorated. The neck leads to the slender body which is angled a 45° behind the neck and is oval in section, broken, thereby revealing the cylindrical element of the body. A complete gold inscribed finger ring, of probable 16th to 17th Century AD dating. The finger ring was originally found flattened but has been restored by the finder to a circular shape. The exterior of the finger ring has a ridge top and bottom with an inscription between the two ridges. The inscription reads: +DAME IOHNE MYLBORNE, presumily originally belonging to the wife of John Mylborne. The finger ring has a width of 7.0 mm and the hoop is 1.5 mm thick. The object is a silver crucifix which has a loop at the upper edge and two horizontal arms, the upper arm being shorter than the lower arm. The loop is the same width as the vertical bar and appears to be a separate component which has been soldered on to the vertical bar.  Both faces of the crucifix have been decorated. The outer face of the upper horizontal bar has the inscription 'IhC' inscribed slightly crudely compared to the decoration elsewhere. Post Medieval (17th to 18th centuries) strap fitting (mount): A copper alloy strap fitting, decorative mount which in plan is an oval with a large oval knop at the base and a smaller knop at the tip which is decorated with radiating grooves, otherwise the mount is undecorated on the upper surface. The reverse is also undecorated and has a incomplete integral stud and a complete one which is square in section and tapers to a sharp point. The stud is bent over.
