A cast lead sub-circular Bulla from Celestine III, in two pieces, split around the hole that would have contained the hemp or silk threads that would attach the Bulla to the document (Papal Bull). The front shows the faces of Saint Paul and Saint Peter within a beaded circumference, and beaded border around the two Saints. The letters above SASPE is the abbreviation for Saint Paul and Saint Peter. A cross should be between the two images, However only the right horizontal bar can be seen in this example.
