A cast copper alloy ring of Iron Age to Medieval date (350 BC- AD 1500). The ring consists of a single strip of copper alloy which varies in its width and thickness. The ring is thick measuring 3.44mm at its thickest part and 2.27mm where it is narrowest. This may be due to wear and/ or suspension. The hoop measures 7.71mm where it is widest. The surface is very rough on both the inner and outer face of the hoop. The object has a dark blackish brown patina.
