A copper alloy 'fob' or 'dangler', believed to be a harness fitting from the Iron Age or Early Roman period. The object is an openwork circular disc with a projecting stem which terminates in a broken suspension loop in the centre of the reverse. It has a diameter of 34.7mm and is 22.4mm thick. The disc is damaged, but the original intention can still be understood. The design is of a circular rim within which are four evenly spaced rounded terminals from which spirals spring. Eleven sherds of pottery which are medieval in date. The fabric is fine and small grained with sandy inclusions and some dark grey inclusions. It is grey in colour, with some light tan coloured areas. One piece is glazed with splashes of an iron based, yellowish glaze. There are three base sherds and two rim sherds from a variety of vessels.

A glass bead which is possibly Roman. The bead is annular and is D shaped in section with a circular hole in the centre. On one face the centre is depressed, but the other face is flat. A short spur projects from one edge of the bead. The glass contains faint lines that radiate from the spur as if the glass was pulled up to form it, or was poured down from it. A copper alloy penannular brooch which is probably Iron Age or Roman in date. The brooch is circular in section and has rounded terminals with flat ends and a collar. It is slightly bent so is no longer round in plan. It is 33.2mm long, 24.1mm wide and 5.5mm thick. It is probably Fowler type A3 (“The Origins and Development of the Penannular Brooch in Europe” in The Prehistoric Society, 1960). The pin is missing. The brooch has a smooth mid green patina.

It is oval and is damaged with a chip missing from the edge of the striking platform. It is retouched round the sides and end. The flint has uneven patination and is mid grey in colour.

A flint end scraper which is probably Neolithic. It may have been formed on a larger previously used scraper. The flint is invasively worked and has retouch on both sides and the distal end, but there is more retouch and also use wear on the distal end. It is unusually small at just 17.9mm long, 12.6mm wide and 6.5mm thick. The flint is high quality and is glossy and mid brown in colour.

A probably medieval possible vessel rim fragment from a cast vessel. The fragment is 31.4mm long, 22.8mm wide and 6.4mm thick. It is roughly rectangular. The outer face of the fragment is uneven, having raised bobbles and rounded bumps on the surface. It is not clear whether these are decorative and may form a design if more of the vessel had survived, or whether they are damage, perhaps caused by heat. A copper alloy button which probable dates from the eighteenth century. The button is made in two pieces and is hollow. It is sub-spherical and measures 11.4mm in diameter and 14.2mm from front to the back of the loop. A small and neat loop projects from the back. The button has a light greyish green patina which has been damaged in places where the brassy metal clearly shows through. Similar examples of button can be seen on page 80 of Buttons and Fasteners by G Bailey (2004).
