A Post mediaeval rococo style silver gilt fob seal matrix dating from AD 1650 - 1800, with a red coloured intaglio depicting a woman's bust facing right (on the intaglio). The intaglio is oval and is held in an oval setting, the convex back of which is decorated with radiating incised lines and four petals extending from the base of the handle. The handle is soldered on. It is openwork and features a scalloped shell motif in the centre, surrounded by foliate scrolls. Th finder reports that the moneyer is Pieres, and the coin is obverse 5, reverse 8 according to an article in British Numismatic Journal 2020.
