Object is a complete silver, commonwealth penny dating to 1649-1660.The obverse features the English shield, with St George cross within, set within a laurel wreath. The reverse of the coin features two shields side by side, on the left, the shield of England with St George cross within and on the right the shield of Ireland with Irish harp within, both set within a beaded border. The denomination '.I.' is set above the two shields. Overall the coin is quite worn and smooth and its edges are frayed.

A Medieval continental imitation of an Edwardian silver penny, a crockard of John I or II, Duke of Brabant and Limburg (AD 1267-1294 or 1294-1312). Mayhew number 40. Coin is very worn, a bit bent, and has a crack where the T would be in the obverse inscription.
