A painted sherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date. It has a hard and brittle, pale dark brown micaceous fabric core with abundent sand temper and occasional grey stoneinclusions. Its surfaces are orangey red while the outer surface has been decorated with yellow-white paint covering the entire surface that has been slightly abraded. The fragment is trapezoidal in shape, and visibly curves in section. The sherd is 42.2mm long, 24.8mm wide, 3.7mm thick and weighs 5.26g. Three undiagnostic roman body sherds, probably from an amphora, dating from the first to the third centuries. The largest sherd is sub-trapezoidal in plan and slightly convex in cross section. Silver Medieval finger ring. The band has a rectangular section. On the outside are four cross pattee's with a letter in there of the spaces, the forth space is blank "+A+G+A+ +" the A has a Chevron bar making it resemble an M. The inscription is most likely a variation of A G L A was a popular amuletic charm in the Middle Ages. It signifies "ATHE GEBIR LEILAN ADONI" (Thou Art Mighty For Ever, Oh Lord). About one eighth of the upper stone survives, including part of the outer edge: the inner point of the wedge may be at the central hole but is too incomplete and abraded to be certain. An incomplete copper alloy purse bar that consists of the suspension loop and central section of the frame. The block hub is shield shaped with a rounded base and square top, this has a hole that passed through the middle that mounts the spindle for the suspension loop. The loop has a small cylindrical neck and a large circular loop at the top , on the base of the loop and passing through the hub is a narrowed bar that has a flat circular knop at the base.
