A copper-alloy and enamelled Iron Age stud (150 BC - AD 43). The object is circular in plan and semicircular when viewed in profile. The sides are decorated with four deep-set cells that are filled with red enamel; each cell is separated from its neighbour by a zigzag border that is joined to the roundel at the apex of the semicircle, this is pierced in the centre to accommodate a pin.  The opposite side forms the circular face and is also recessed and filled with red enamel, a hole in the centre of the enamel shows where the attachment pin would have been mounted. An Iron Age copper alloy brooch of the La Tene I type dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. The remaining portion comprises a strongly arched bow with a circular cross-section. The top of the arch extends to the curled spring which is made from four curls with the pin still intact. The opposite end of the arch extends to form the foot and catchplate of the brooch which consists of a bar that is bent back on itself creating a U-shape base. The lower arm which extends from the bow is expanded with an oval plate, whilst the opposing upper arm has a circular terminal.

Cast copper alloy Colchester brooch length 46mm, width 10mm, thickness 15mm, weight 3.34g. This is a one piece bow with the spring cast integrally with the bow, the spring is now missing. There is a rearwards facing hook on the top of the head which would have held the external cord of the spring. Small rectangular wings flank the head. The bow is plain the catch plate on the reverse is missing. Date 25-60AD

Cast copper alloy openwork mount, this consists of a central diagonal band with expanded ends, in the expanded ends are four pellets. The narrow midsection is flanked by two roundels, these also have two pellets in the centre. These are all held in place by a linear band, above and below, which has a circular cross-section. Both ends of the bands are truncated, as a result it is impossible to surmise the original shape or function of the artefact.

Possible incomplete iron Strip brooch length 31mm, width 10mm, thickness 13mm, weight 4.01g. The top of the brooch has been rolled back to form a narrow tube, this has a lot in the centre at the rear for the pin, only the top part of the pin remains. The whole of the artefact is heavily encrusted with corrosion obscuring any detail. The bow is truncated about halfway down resulting in the loss of the catchplate. Date 25-60AD

The reverse has suffered slightly form corrosion particularly at the edges, the obverse has suffered considerably with much of the detail missing. The style corresponds to the South-Weston Bronze – cast type.
