The obverse is quite worn and nibbled, but the two dots to the right of the bust are still visible, suggesting it is probably a halfgroat of Elizabeth I (sixth or seventh issue: 1582-1603). North Volume 2 (1991), p. 137 no. 2016. Unclear initial mark.
