Copper alloy coin. A small milled disc with outer circles and legends, the latter hinting at a Scottish origin. The form is comparable to that of English halfpenny and farthing tokens of the period 1650-1673, while the best match in size is with the twopence or Turner of the Earl of Stirling’s coinage of 1632-1639, which includes a reverse legend compatible with that suggested here – cf. Seaby 1972, Coins and Tokens of Scotland, page 89
