A slightly curved and pointed horn, possibly finished by rolling as a seam appears towards the tip, springing from a hollow or thin metal setting of thickness 0.9mm. A step or stop appears immediately adjacent to the seam and a little closer to the broad base than to the other end, though it does not pass round the horn. The horn is solid at its base. Possibly from a statue, or perhaps part of an entirely different category of object. Suggested date: possibly Roman, 43-410

Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows the converging sides of the putative working point. Patches of patina suggest the object has endured a period of exposure to a calcareous environment; they are lost along one aris. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC

Copper alloy brooch. Probably a bow and fantail or hinged Colchester derivative brooch, Mackreth type CD H 7.b. A flat triangular head conceals a cylindrical case for a possibly iron axis bar for a hinged pin [lost]. The mid-bow stands proud of the ends of the brooch and is of sub-triangular section, keeled in front, and an indented stop at its base divides it from a triangular fantail foot bearing irregular scratches. The stub of a catch plate remains behind the fantail. Suggested date: Early Roman, 75-175
