An incomplete cast copper-alloy single looped buckle with integral plate dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The rear portion of the plate and the pin are missing in old breaks, but otherwise the buckle is preserved intact. The frame is broadly 'D' shaped in plan and section, transitioning into the integral plate at its rear edge-the front portion of which is broadly oval in plan, a transverse ridge demarcating the point at which the rear portion of the plate tapers abruptly before truncating.
