An incomplete medieval copper alloy single loop buckle, dating from c. AD 1250-1400. The buckle frame is D shaped, and D shaped in cross section. On the outer frame a single collared knop projects from the centre. The pin bar is recessed. The pin bar is oval in cross section. It has a dark green patina, and measures 23.6mm in length, 15.1mm in width, and 2.91g in weight. A similar buckle can be seen in Whitehead 1996, page 21 number 85.

A medieval two part strap end with a narrowed terminal (from the upper plate) which has two flanking pairs of small projections. The front is decorated with intertwined lines of rocker-arm zig-zag decoration which encompass small stars. The rear plate is shorter and undecorated. The rear end is concave with forked sides and a cusped inner edge. There is a single copper alloy rivet at the centre.

Possibly Medieval to Post Medieval (late 14th to 17th century) buckle pin: In plan, the copper alloy pin is a long slender rectangle with a rounded blunt tip. The opposite terminal has a a rounded penannular loop which would be fixed around the bar of the frame. On the exterior surface of this loop a casting seam remains, but not on the stem of the pin. Medieval (mid 12th to mid 14th centuries) strap fitting; mount. The copper alloy mount, in plan, has an oval shaped body with an integral sub-oval knop at either end. Each knop has a rivet hole, one of which has the remains of a copper alloy rivet. The mount is decorated with transverse grooves on the body. The body and knops are domed in profile and hollow on the reverse. The surface of the mount has an abraded dark grey abraded surface. The mount measures 18.25mm long, 6.74mm wide and 3.97mm thick. A complete copper alloy sewing ring or open thimble of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval date, circa AD 1450 to c. AD 1550. The ring is now crushed flat but would originally have been circular with tapering sides. There are four rows of circular pits. The walls are 1.1mm thick suggesting use for heavy duty work.

A complete Medieval copper-alloy two-piece book clasp of the pierced and hinged type (Howsam 2016, type A.1.1). The terminal element of the clasp has a convex D-shaped plate with a central perforation to fit over a peg on the opposing clasp element. From the front and angled perpendicular to the clasp, projects a small zoomorphic looped terminal with a drilled hole through the open jaws of the centre. A cast copper alloy Seal Matrix of Medieval date (AD 1300-1400).  The matrix has a hexagonally faceted conical handle which tapers before expanding to form a perforated trefoil loop, 7.5mm wide, with a ridged collar. The die face is circular, 14.8mm in diameter and depicts a quatrefoil with an unclear legend, most likely (I)E SV S(EL D AO), to be read as a contraction of "je su sel d'amour" (I am a seal of love). A Medieval to post-Medieval iron rotary key, dating to c. AD 1300-1750. The bow is D shaped, with the shoulders rounded. The shank of the key projects into the bow with two triangular projections and a notch in the centre. This is full of iron staining. An incomplete copper alloy medieval annular brooch, dating from c. AD 1350- 1400. The brooch is a flat circular hoop, with eight globular projections regularly spaced on the face of the brooch. The frame narrows between two of the projections, where the pin would have sat. This is now missing. On the opposite edge of the narrow section is a circular recess. The reverse is undecorated, and there are patches of white metal coating. The brooch has a light green patina, and measures 40.1mm by 39.5mm, 5.9mm in maximum thickness, and weighs 13.38g.

A medieval cast copper alloy single loop buckle dating to c. AD1300-1400. The buckle loop is D shaped, with a wider outer frame. This is decorated with moulded scrolled pattern. The pin bar is narrowed and offset, the pin is a single piece of copper alloy wrapped around the bar. It narrows to a rounded point, and has a light green patina. The buckle frame is a light brown colour with patches of darker red brown. The surface is very worn. It measures 26.9mm in length, 19.9mm in width, and weighs 5.59g.  Similar buckles can be seen in Whitehead 1996, page 20, numbers 66-68.

It leans back slightly, and has a flat back or inside leg. There is a groove running around where the foot meets the leg. The foot is slightly wider than the leg. The leg is triangular in cross section, with rounded corners. The leg ends at the top in a worn break. It has a mid green patina, and measures 43.8mm in height, 23.1mm in maximum width, 13.6mm in maximum thickness, and weighs 49g.
