A complete struck / hammered copper alloy jetton (reckoning counter) of Edward I (1272 AD - 1307 AD). It is probably of the 'Sterling bust' type, issued between c. 1302 AD and c.1307 AD.

Postmedieval token: copper alloy jetton, anonymous rose and orb type, normal orb, crown initial mark. Overcleaned.
A hammered copper alloy jetton of Nuremberg's 'rose and orb' type. Only part of the obverse depicting the rose and orb is clearly visible. A few letters of the inscription survive, but these are insufficient for full identification. No detail survives on the reverse, other than a central rose, a single crown, and an illegible section of the inscription. The general condition of the jetton is poor and it has been overcleaned.
