Robertson 2000, 71 no. 336: ""An interesting 'find', on December 31st, 1858, may here be recorded as a conclusion to this paper. North of Whaddon, in the Parish of Weston Underwood, near Olney, an earthen vessel was discovered by some labourers in White's Close, containing Roman coins. Sir Robert Throckmorton, as Lord of the Manor, claimed them for treasure-trove, and obtained possession of 166 Imperial denarii, 4 Legionary coins, 1 small brass coin of the Lower Empire, 1 of Augustus B.C. 42, and 4 of Mark Antony B.C. 30.
