The neck, handle and shoulder of a flagon made in a buff sandy fabric. There are three moulded rings below the rim and the handle has a lateral groove along it. The neck of the flagon is 60mm long and the handle is 33mm across.

A lead pot mend consisting of two asymmetric shapes joined by a small bridging piece of metal. The inner surfaces are flat. The 3mm gap between the two shapes implies the this is the thickness of the vessel wall. This object could date from the Roman to post-Medieval period.

The trapzoidal drop handle and the moulded knob that fitted it onto the metal bowl or chaffing dish. The shaped, lower half of the handle is damaged. The loop of the handle is cast with a rectangular section and finished with a file, which has left striations on the surface. It is possible that these handles come from drawers or chests (see Margeson 1993 p78)

A cast copper-alloy cauldron leg of probable early post-medieval date. The object is sub-rectangular in section and widens in thickness towards the bottom. It depicts an animal claw and has five faint vertical divisions at the bottom, which represent the toes. It measures 47.2mm high by 40.6mm wide and up to 18.4mm thick.

Two sherds of Roman samian ware. One is a rim sherd, probably from a form 30 or form 37 bowl (de la Bedoyere, 1989, page 84; figure 51; Webster 1996, 42 fig. 27, 47 fig. 32). The original rim diameter was 240mm. This sherd is pierced with a circular hole (4.5 mm in diameter) 4 mm below the rim. Chafing around the edge indicates that this hole was bored some time after completion of the pot. It is likely that the hole represents the repair of the pot at some point during its life. A rim sherd from a Roman dish of South Midlands shell-tempered ware. This pottery was probably produced at Harrold, Bedfordshire and dates from the 3rd to early 5th century AD. The rim itself has a flattened upper surface and has an angled outer face, at the base of which is a shallow groove. The wall of the vessel would have angled upwards at approximately 60 degrees from the now-missing base. The pot has been wheel-thrown and has a pronounced groove on the underside, a short distance in from the edge. The fabric is light yellowish-orange and has no visible inclusions. The rim is on plain form, with a simple rolled top and no projection on either side. The fabric is light grey to off-white. A rim sherd from a Roman flanged bowl. This vessel probably dates from the 3rd or 4th century AD and is of Hadham colour-coated ware, its form imitating the Dr 38 form of samian bowl. The flange curves downwards from the outer wall of the vessel, with part of the damaged rim projecting above. The core is light grey; the surface is mid-orange and has displays abundant mica inclusions. The inner surface of the bowl and upper surface of the flange retain traces of an orange slip, whereas the outer surface of the vessel has been coated with a brown slip.
