A possible copper alloy Roman nail cleaner, dating from c.AD 43 - 410. It is of possible strap end type. The nail cleaner is lozenge shaped, with a worn break at both ends. At the narrower end on one side is central incised groove. At the opposite edge on both sides the nail cleaner surface raises up towards the terminal end. There is no decoration, and the cleaner has a dark green black patina. It measures 45.9mm in length, 9.8mm in maximum width, 3.5mm in thickness and weighs 5.52g
