A copper alloy fragment from a late Roman multiple motif armlet, 41.1mm in length, which tapers slightly along its length from 6.3mm to 5.4mm. The fragment is decorated on one side by a series of deeply moulded elements in separate panels divided by ridged transverse collars. These comprise (from the narrow end) a row of seven annulets running along the medial line, flanked by borders of incised notches; a sub rounded boss with an annulet centre; a square boss with a small annulet at the centre; a damaged section at the wider end with a number of parallel longitudinal lines. An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy early cruciform plate brooch, of mid to late 1st century AD date, with a tinned surface and a central circular setting. The brooch is cruciform with four concave sides and tapering arms. In the centre of the plate is a recessed circular setting containing a beaded border around a pierced hole in the centre.
