A fragment of glass, probably Roman, vessel, possibly a bottle AD.40-450. The obbject comprises a domed piece of glass, with visible concentric lines from spinning around tools. The glass is blue and contains numerous bubbles, it is of uneven thickness, thickening at the dome's apex, perhaps suggesting it is part of the base of a vessel.

A fragment of a copper alloy vessel or possibly a ferrule, probably of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The fragment is broadly rectangular in shape, with raised edges, and a raised collar running across the fragment. It is slightly curved in cross section. The fragment has a dark green patina, it measures 19.8mm in length, 17.3mm in width, 2.6mm in thickness and weighs 4.48g.

A fragment of a copper alloy vessel, possibly Roman in date, dating from AD 43 - 410. The fragment is sub rectangular in shape, and T shaped in cross section. It is possibly part of the foot ring of a copper alloy dish. It has a mid green patina, with orange brown staining in patches on the inside. It measures 18.2mm in length, 18.8mm in width, 3.9mm in maximum thickness and weighs 5.01g.

Two sherds of Roman samian ware vessel, dating from the 2nd Century AD.
1- A rim sherd. The sherd in an irregular pentagon shape, and has a slight curve in profile. The fragment is hard, with a pink orange core, the exterior is a glossy red colour created with the slip coating. The exterior is decorated with moulded relief which starts near the worn break of the fragment. There is a horizontal indentation border, with a border of three inverted arches which most likely runs round the vessel in a repeated border. The base of a Roman samian ware vessel, dating from the 2nd Century AD. The foot base is circular and concave in shape, and sub rectangular in shape where it would have extended out into the bowl. The centre of the bowl is raised and rounded from manufacturing. The fragment is hard, with a pink core, this has dark brown patches. Both surfaces are a glossy red colour created with the slip coating. On the underneath of the foot there are incised circular lines where the base has been turned, there are also some air bubbles.

A body fragment of a Roman samian ware vessel, dating to the 2nd century AD. The fragment is sub rectangular in shape and rounded. The fragment is hard, with a pink core, the exterior and interior are a glossy red colour created with the slip coating.
The exterior is decorated with moulded relief. This depicts a figure standing left in profile at the centre of the fragment. The decoration is very worn. On the inside of the fragment are incised lines from being turned on the mould, there are air bubbles in the fabric of the fragment.

A cast copper-alloy Roman mount in the form of a sleeping hound from a patera (vessel). The mount is D-shaped in cross-section, with a flat reverse. The features of the dog are moulded, particularly the hunched up hindleg and similarly bent foreleg upon which the dog's head rests. Three adjoining body sherds from a pottery plate or dish, probably dating from the Roman period.
The flat upper surface of the vessel is decorated by combed wavy lines, and there is a group of stab marks towards the centre. In addition, there are three concentric grooves near to the edge of the vessel. The fabric is a light pinkish-orange with no visible inclusions. The edges of the sherds are slightly abraded.

A hollow foot from a Roman vessel. A similar example was found in excavations at Colchester (Crummy 1983: 73, no. 2051 fig. 76), where it was suggested to be possibly a foot from a bowl. See also BH-1911F3 and NLM-A2CB67.The foot is pelta-shaped with a central incomplete groove.

An incomplete copper alloy probable jug handle, of Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 300).
The back face is slightly concave and curvilinear to accommodate the body of the copper-alloy vessel, to which it would have originally been soldered. The front face of the terminal is rounded and moulded to depict a forwards facing head. The face is sub square in shape with almond shaped eyes, which have been silver plated with circular depressions for the pupils. A rim sherd from a Roman colour-coated jar, possibly of Hadham ware, dating from the 3rd or 4th century AD.
The everted rim rolls outwards from the wall of the vessel, with a slight groove at the point of the transition. The fabic has a dark grey core, orange surface and has been slipped in a patchy orange and brown, with an overlying wavy line of white slip on the inner surface of the rim.

Between a third and a quarter of the rim survives. It is of simple form, being straight-sided, with no lip. At the base is part of a raised moulding. The core is dark grey, the surface light grey and the fabric has a sandy texture.

The abraded sherd represents less than half of the original base. The fabric is mid orange and both the inner and outer surfaces retain traces of a white slip. A deep groove extends around the underside of the base, a short distance in from the edge.

A rim sherd from a Roman flanged bowl. This vessel probably dates from the 3rd or 4th century AD and is of Hadham colour-coated ware, its form imitating the Dr 38 form of samian bowl.
The flange curves downwards from the outer wall of the vessel, with part of the damaged rim projecting above. The core is light grey; the surface is mid-orange and has displays abundant mica inclusions. The inner surface of the bowl and upper surface of the flange retain traces of an orange slip, whereas the outer surface of the vessel has been coated with a brown slip.

A rim sherd from a Roman colour-coated ware vessel (either a dish or a beaker), probably produced at the Nene Valley kilns, between the mid 2nd and 4th centuries AD.
The rim is on plain form, with a simple rolled top and no projection on either side. The fabric is light grey to off-white. The slip on the inner surface is mid brown, changing to black on the outer surface.
