A copper alloy object with a rectangular central area between two terminals. The surface of the object is partly obscured by corrosion but the rectangular area appears to have been decorated with three rows of three raised pellets. One terminal has a knop with three indistinct lobes, bent over at the end to form a triangular hook for fastening. The other knop is damaged but appears rounded with a triangular protrusion on the reverse.
This object may be a type of double-hooked fastener known from late Medieval to early Post-Medieval contexts (Margeson 1993, p.19, no.80-1), or simply…
