An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative (double-pierced lug) brooch, of Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 100). Approximately 50% of the brooch is present, consisting of the bow, wings, head, and an incomplete catch plate. The pin and spring are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. In plan, the brooch is almost T-shaped, and D-shaped in cross section. The bow head is hump-like, and angular (comma shaped) in profile, with flat rectangular wings projecting from either side at the top. A medieval silver annular brooch which is complete and with the pin intact. Traces of gilding evident on the brooch. The frame is circular in plan and in section. It is decorated with four evenly spaced globular collars, each of which is punched with small circular marks. The pin is cast and is circular in cross section, tapering to a point at the end. A Middle Iron Age cast copper alloy bow brooch belonging to Hawkes and Hull's Type 1a (5th to early 4th millennium BC). The bow is rounded and thickened and hollow on its lower side. The spring and pin are missing. There are traces of iron deposits and copper alloy corrosion spotting. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a cast multi-stranded double scrolling design. An extremely corroded and incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of Hod Hill type, dating to AD 43 - AD 75. The brooch is 37.9mm in length and complete with a catchplate. The bow has a central trapezoidal body, with two flanking knops, one of which is missing; the remaining knop is bent under the bow. At either end of the central section there are moulded collars to the hinge section and to the long tapering foot. The head, hinge and pin is missing.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of Langton Down type dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 25-60 AD. Missing the spring, pin, much of the bow, the foot and catchplate. The bow meets the hinge in a semi-circular sectioned head and tapers to the foot. The arms are cylindrical but incomplete. Extensive corrosion has obscured any original surface decoration.

An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy early cruciform plate brooch, of mid to late 1st century AD date, with a tinned surface and a central circular setting. The brooch is cruciform with four concave sides and tapering arms. In the centre of the plate is a recessed circular setting containing a beaded border around a pierced hole in the centre. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative dolphin bow brooch dating to c.AD 50-120. The brooch has sub-cylindrical wings that are decorated with circumferential grooves at the terminal ends and grooves along both long sides in imitation of a spring. The bow has a plano convex cross section and a moulded ridged spine. The junction at the head is sharply angled and decorated with a moulded groove. The foot, pin and catchplate are missing.

An incomplete Roman plate brooch (Mackreth (2011), Chapter 7, Part 2 PL CONT 17a.) comprised of two (or more) flat discs. one complete and one largely lost, which are joined at a point on their periphery. Each disc has raised borders with tinned surfaces surrounding a recessed central field, which on the surviving disc appears to have held enamel around a hole in the centre for a separate component, now lost. The reverse of the complete disc retains a small catchplate. The alloy has a high tin content.

A copper-alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative Harlow type missing its pin. The head has two pierced lugs and small flat wings covering a coiled spring and an iron axis bar which runs through the lower pierced lug. The upper lug holds the spring chord. The spring is held asymmetrically on the head, with two coils on the left side and three coils with the pin on the other of the central lug. The bow is curved and narrow, with triangular cross section, ending in a point foot and an incomplete catch plate. Circa 50-70 AD.

A bent and incomplete Roman or early medieval copper alloy penannular brooch. The frame has a sub rounded cross section, 36mm in diameter which has been bent straight, opening the ring. One terminal is lost, the other remains and folds back on itself at right angles to the plane of the ring, forming what may be interpreted as zoomorphic horse heads, with stylised moulded features. The terminal is 6.1mm thick and 11.2mm long. The pin has been lost.

A cast copper alloy Alcester type trumpet derivative brooch of Roman date. The slightly distorted brooch measures 48.7mm by 19.1mm by 16.6mm and weighs 19.4g. It has a large trumpet-shaped head with a loop at the apex and a recess on the back for the seven-coiled spring. The pin is missing. A domed moulding projects from the middle of the bow and overhangs the rest of the bow, which is flat and narrow.
