A complete iron post medieval double loop buckle dating to c. AD 1650-1700. The buckle is 'thistle-shaped' with one oval loop and one trapezoidal loop. The frame is rectangular in cross section. The pin is triangular shaped, looped around the pin bar and narrowing towards a rounded point. Either side of the pin is a rectangular plate holding it in place. The buckle has a red brown patina, and measures 45.6mm in length, 43.9mm in width, 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 19.72g. C.f. Margeson 1993, page 33, number 218.

An incomplete iron Clark type 4 horseshoe of Medieval date (AD 1300-1400). The branches are equal in length and incline upwards at the heel. There is no evidence of thickening or calkins at the heel. The shoe has six countersunk square nail holes. One nail has been partially retained. The shoe in plan is flat and is probably a saddle shoe. The object is missing small portions of its heal. An incomplete wrought iron object, of probable Late Post Medieval to Modern dating (1700 - 1900 AD), of uncertain use and function. The object consists of a rectangular sectioned tang, with an incomplete sheet of iron (now triangular in shape) riveted to the end with two circular rivets. It measures 108.08mm in length. 36.82mm wide and 9.20mm thick. It weighs 33.2 grams.

The other end of the cylinder is broken and only a part of the end plate remains. Upon one side of the  cylinder an iron plate runs perpendicular to the cylinder.

A complete Roman iron axe head, dating from c. 1st to 2nd century AD. The head is triangular in shape, with the lower edge of the blade curving downwards creating a wide cutting edge. There is a rectangular perforation at the wider end of the head where the handle would have attached. A Medieval to post-Medieval iron rotary key, dating to c. AD 1300-1750. The bow is D shaped, with the shoulders rounded. The shank of the key projects into the bow with two triangular projections and a notch in the centre. This is full of iron staining. Below the shoulders is a widened cylindrical collar, the shank is narrower and circular in cross section.  The bit is in two sections, which are the shape of two back-to-back, 'S-shaped' sides, separated from each other by an 'I-shaped' cleft.The key is a brown red colour, and is fragile from corrosion. …

Incompete Roman copper-alloy trumpet brooch. Part of the spring survives behind the head, but the pin and foot are missing. The bow of the brooch has decorative mouldings but these are obscured by iron corrosion. There are two C-shaped panels of blue enamel on the head and only small flecks of red on the upper bow.

An Anglo-Saxon iron sword blade. The blade is suffering from quite severe iron corrosion and has been broken near to the stabbing end. This is a recent break, and both pieces remain. The total length of the object is 940 mm and it weighs 665 g. The blade is 55 mm thick at the handle end, tapering to 30 mm at the stabbing end. The point, however, is missing. The blade is 4.6 mm thick. The blade's tang, where it would have once been attached to the handle, is 85 mm in length, 6 mm wide and 9.1 mm thick.

An Anglo-Saxon socketed iron spearhead. This object is suffering from quite severe iron corrosion and is very fragile. The item is 384 mm long and weighs 302 g. It is 47 mm wide at its widest point, near the socket, decreasing to 13 mm towards the tip. The tip has, however, been broken off and is missing. The spearhead's socket is 92 mm long and is 23.5 mm in diameter. Traces of the wooden spear shaft's fibres remain within the socket.
