Upper die. The circular head is slightly domed and measures 35mm across. The max diameter of the shaft is about 22.5mm. The design is a central indentation surrounded by a circle about 8mm in diameter, enclosing a rough square. Probably a centering mark. Showed signs of use. Cowell and Lang in Zeepvat 1992. 135mm long, 16mm diameter die face

Lower die.The head is very slightly domed and rectangular in cross-section, about 30mm by 33mm. There is very little overhand at the head: the metal has been forged to a round cross-section, leaving a slight concavity on the sides. Little sign of use. Cowell and Lang in Zeepvat 1992. 47mm long, 18mm diameter across die face.
