A cast copper alloy Post-Medieval strap mount, dating to c. AD 1500-1700. The mount is of composite design, with a convex plate shaped in the form of an escallop or shell, and a tri-lobed shape (trefoil or fleur-de-lys) projecting from the top edge of the shell. The reverse is concave, with two integral, circular-sectioned fixing spikes or lugs - one short and straight (probably truncated by a break), the other longer and curved. An incomplete cast copper alloy post medieval buckle, probably from a spur and dating from AD 1575 - 1700. The frame is asymmetrical with one trapezoidal and one (incomplete) round loop with projecting lobes at the corners. The trapezoidal loop is decorated with transverse notches on its straight edge. Traces of a now missing iron pin remain on the strap bar.

On the face there are two raised letters, possibly I K, and is probably contained within a raised square. There is no decoration on the reverse. It is a dark grey brown colour, and measures 16.3mm by 16.3mm, 4.5mm in thickness. It weighs 7.74g.
