A fragment of a Small Long Brooch of Early Medieval date (AD 500-600). The object is composed of a small square plate, with notches removed from the lower corners. The plate is decorated on the upper face with punched ring a dot motifs, in two rows of three, across the upper and lower portions of the plate. The pommel cap is rectangular in plan and pyramidal in profile with four sides; the long sides being flat and the short edges being concave.
