Rectangular plate with sub-rectangular arms on each of the long sides forming a short armed cross. The arms have circular apertures punched through after casting, probably for use as rivet or nail holes. The entire front shows the remains of gilding, a double lozenge shape with simple dot motifs inside has been crudely engraved on the main body of the plate.

Lead cap from a powder-holder. Powder-holders were made of wood, and held enough gunpowder for a single charge; they and were held onto a musketeer's bandolier by cords which ran through the two loops on the caps. They date to the 17th century.
This object was originally identified as an ampulla, and the original description reads: Fragment of flat bottomed 'doctors bag' type of ampulla. Flat central oval plate with two opposing protrusions one of which has been drawn out and curled under to form a loop, the other tapers and appears to have a missing 'tip'. The plate is heavily gilded and decorated with four equally spaced bulbous headed rivets with expanded tops resembling 'buns'. Each of the rivets have a shallow cross engraved on the top and also appear to have been gilded. The rivets are hammered flat to secure them on the reverse of the plate. No parallel has been found.

Square framed cast buckle with rectangular plate. The frame has a greatly expanded outside edge with 5 incised grooves in the centre, one of which is wider than the others to accommodate the (missing) pin, the plate bar is wider than the sides of the frame, there are heavy file marks on the reverse of the expanded section of the outer edge. A circular brooch/buckle, the frame of which is oval in section, with a cast pin with a worn but not cut-away tip, and open loop. The pin has a transverse moulding on the junction of the shaft and loop. The frame has s slight indentation at one point on the underside possibly due to pin wear. The whole is well made and solid. Pin similar to Egan & Pritchard page 250/1314, frame to page 57/36. The length given in the dimensions field is that of the pin.

Cast double oval frame which is flat on the reverse and concave on the front giving a shallow oval in section. The central bar has been integrally cast and in square in section. Decoration consists of multiple slightly raised oblique rope work all around the front of the frame with the exception of the central bar which is plain. The pin loop appears to have been a cast and wrought bar which has then been curled over, the shank of the pin is broken, approximately two-thirds of it are missing. There are heavy file marks on the reverse of the frame and central bar.

A single piece of sheet metal folded to form a sub-cylindrical chape; the back of the chape where the two ends of metal meet is flat; one end has been bent inwards to close it off, the other slightly wider end is open and quite badly damaged, there is a single perforation near the open end of the front and a slightly smaller perforation near the open end of the back.
